The Washington Post today announced that John Podesta will join the Opinion section as a contributing columnist. Podesta, former chairman of the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign, will provide commentary and analysis on the intersection of politics and policy, the Trump administration and the future of the Democratic Party.
National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster responds to the Washington Post report that President Trump revealed classified information to Russians.
LT. GEN. H.R. McMASTER, NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER: I have a brief statement for the record. There is nothing that the president takes more seriously than the security of the American people. The story that came out tonight as reported is false. The president and the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries, including threats to civil aviation.
At no time, at no time, where intelligent sources or methods discussed. And the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known. Two other senior officials who were present, including the Secretary of the State, remember the meeting the same way and have said so. Their on the record accounts should outweigh anonymous sources. I was in the room. It didn't happen.
AT LEAST 231 children at a famous Catholic boys’ choir in Germany were victims of physical abuse, a lawyer commissioned to investigate the scandal said today.
The Domspatzen, a 1,000-year-old choir in Regensburg, Bavaria, was dragged into the massive sexual abuse scandal plaguing the Catholic Church in 2010, when allegations of assaults that took place several decades ago went public.
The choir was run by Pope Benedict’s elder brother, Georg Ratzinger, from 1964 to 1994 when most of the claimed abuses took place.
Ratzinger has said that the alleged sexual abuse was “never discussed” in the time that he ran the choir attached to the boarding school.
Lawyer Ulrich Weber, who had been commissioned by the diocese to look into the cases, said at a press conference today that his research, which included 70 interviews with victims, uncovered abuse that took place from 1945 to the early 1990s.
“I have here 231 reports of physical abuse,” he said, announcing a figure far higher than had previously been assumed.
These ranged from sexual assault to rape, severe beatings and food deprivation, said Weber.
The reported cases of sexual abuse in Regensburg were mostly concentrated in the period of the mid to end 1970s.
Weber added that “50 victims spoke of ten perpetrators”.
Most informed observers agree that Cools was in a position to name the names in some of these Iran-Iraq arms deals. Only a few days before his murder, and after conducting his own investigation in Geneva and Lucerne, Switzerland, Cools had announced to the press that he would make some startling revelations upon his return from a vacation in Paris. He was murdered in Liege before he could make those revelations. While the official line of the government is that the pedophile case and the Cools murder are only "very indirectly" linked, nonetheless, many of those arrested in both affairs were: 1) leading members of the Socialist Party in Belgium's Wallonia region, and 2) members of the Masonic lodge in Liege. The latter is affiliated with the Grand Orient Lodge of Belgium, and has among its membership 40% of the top leaders of the Wallonia branch of the Belgian Socialist Party, as well as leading members of the elite of Wallonia and French-speaking Brussels. The Belgian lodge is affiliated with the Grand Orient Lodge of France; which is in turn dominated by the French Socialist Party. The Belgian Socialist Party is so close to their French colleagues that, in recent days, leaders of the party, including Robert Colligan, the prime minister of the Wallonia region, and Claude Eerdekens, the parliamentary party leader, in response to criticism from some of the Flemish parties, threatened to secede and become a department of France. Furthermore, NATO's political and military headquarters are located in Belgium, and a vast array of official, semi-official, and private intelligence "sub-organizations" played a crucial role in the arms shipments and other activities related to the Bush-North Iran-Contra operations, and to the eight-year-Iong Iran-Iraq War. In the context of these arms-trafficking operations, which drew upon NATO arms depots, a number of leading politicians and military figures in Europe were killed, including Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme and former Schleswig-Holstein Gov. Uwe Barschel. Reportedly, Banque Bruxelles Lambert, Belgium's second largest bank, played a role in financing the Iran Contra-linked arms deals, such as one called "Operation Demavand" .
The Swiss filmmaker Matthias Hancke worked on his first documentary OVERCAST for almost seven years. In 2007 he realized for the first time, that the man-made cloud cover was not a natural byproduct from aviation. Therefore, he started his investigation with the intention to finally prove the ongoing geoengineering program in order to stop this crime.
Matthias conducted over 40 interviews in 10 different countries and spent thousands of hours on research and investigation to find out more about the aerosol spraying and why our public officials are not investigating it.
OVERCAST incorporated both sides of the controversy, the debunkers and established scientists as well as the activists. The film brilliantly shows how the debunkers debunk themselves with their limited argumentation and lack of scientific data.
The woman in the video is Loretta Fuddy, who was Hawaii's director of health when Obama's certificate of live birth was released in 2011. This video occurred on 12/11/13 when a small plane she was in crashed into the water just after takeoff. Everyone else in the plane went unscathed, but she died of a "heart attack."
The believers are only the ones who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive[jahadu] with their properties and their lives in the cause of Allah. It is those who are the truthful.
The ones who have believed, emigrated and striven[jahadu] in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives are greater in rank in the sight of Allah. And it is those who are the attainers [of success].
But the Messenger and those who believed with him strove[jahadu] with their wealth and their lives. Those will have [all that is] good, and it is those who are the successful.
Voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit precincts registered more votes than they should have during last month’s presidential election, according to Wayne County records prepared at the request of The Detroit News.
Detailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books. Voting irregularities in Detroit have spurred plans for an audit by Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s office, Elections Director Chris Thomas said Monday.
“There’s always going to be small problems to some degree, but we didn’t expect the degree of problem we saw in Detroit. This isn’t normal,” said Krista Haroutunian, chairwoman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers.
Tony Blair: stifling investigations of paedophiles in his Labour government.
In 1999, an international investigation of child pornographers and paedophiles run by Britain's National Criminal Intelligence Service, code named Operation Ore, resulted in 7,250 suspects being identified in the United Kingdom alone. Some 1850 people were criminally charged in the case and there were 1451 convictions. Almost 500 people were interviewed "under caution" by police, meaning they were suspects. Some 900 individuals remain under investigation. In early 2003, British police began to close in on some top suspects in the Operation Ore investigation, including senior members of Blair's government.
However, Blair issued a D-Notice, resulting in a gag order on the press from publishing any details of the investigation. Blair cited the impending war in Iraq as a reason for the D-Notice. Police also discovered links between British Labour government paedophile suspects and the trafficking of children for purposes of prostitution from Belgium and Portugal (including young boys from the Casa Pia orphanage in Portugal).
