Attempted Coup in Turkey

  • Turkish coup attempt linked to US

The attempted coup in Turkey leaves the country in a state of flux as Erdogan conducts of purge of his political opponents. He isn't driven entirely by paranoia, as Fethulan Gulen has a long history in Turkey with ties to the CIA. The role of Turkish NATO regiments is the show of force and US state actors in applying psychological operations indicates that, like Ukraine, the Anglo American deep state is not willing to stand by idly as Erdogan's relationship with Putin strengthens.

Also, Project Mockingbird appears to be alive and well with MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin being the source of the false rumour of a successful coup and the Daily Mail misreporting Erdogan's concord with mob rule as democracy. The Associated Press has removed it's reference to the troublesome incident.

    Mob Rule & "Translation Errors"

    Zero Hedge:

Meanwhile, Erdogan on Sunday told crowds of supporters, called to the streets by the government and by mosques across the country, that parliament must consider their demands to apply the death penalty for the plotters. "We cannot ignore this demand," he told a chanting crowd outside his house in Istanbul late on Sunday. "In democracies, whatever the people say has to happen."

    Associated Press (original, no archive):

"We hear your request. In a democracy, whatever the people want they will get."

Associated Press (archive July 17, no entry for archive of July 18):

    3 p.m.

Crowds chanted "Fethullah will come and pay," ''Allah is Great" and "We want the death penalty."

Erdogan said that in democracies, "you cannot push the wish of the people to one side" but also said "we are not after revenge."

    Daily Fail:

President Erdogan told a crowd chanting for the death penalty on Saturday that such demands may be discussed in parliament after a coup attempt by a faction in the military killed at least 161 people.

  • Erdogan correctly calculated that the EU wants nothing to do with his country and that Turkey is unable to milk extra benefits from the bloc after the Brexit referendum, so he recalibrated his state’s foreign policy to align with the multipolar world instead. This saw the recent news of Turkey belatedly declaring Al Nusra a terrorist organization and opening up secret reconciliation talks with Syria, despite still repeating the “face saving” refrain of “Assad must go”. Furthermore, Turkey is part of Russia’s nascent coalition of regional powers opposed to the US’ daring attempt to militantly carve out the “second geopolitical Israel” of “Kurdistan”. Not only that, but Turkey are Russia are also back on track for reimplementing the Balkan Stream megaproject, which when paired with China’s complementary Balkan Silk Road high-speed rail project from Budapest to Piraeus, is perhaps the most ambitious multipolar outreach to Europe that has ever been attempted.

  • Interestingly enough, on Thursday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu confirmed that Ankara would take efforts to reach a compromise with Moscow over the Syrian crisis settlement.

"Even when we had different points of view in solving the Syrian issue, we did not interrupt dialogue and made efforts to bring closer our positions. We will act similarly in the future. Iran and Russia should play an important role and participate in the process for lasting peace in Syria," Cavusoglu told Turkey's NTV broadcaster.

The Kremlin press service reported Wednesday that Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov is due to meet his Turkish counterpart at the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs on July 1. During the upcoming meeting the foreign ministers are expected to discuss the ongoing situation in Syria with the focus on the crisis settlement.

Do Ankara's recent moves indicate a serious shift in Turkey's foreign policy?

According to British journalist John Wight, Ankara could have realized that it took the wrong side in the Syrian conflict.

"This [Turkey's apology] is a very significant gesture on the part of the Turkish government moving beyond the fact that it admits guilt over the shooting down of this aircraft, which was flying in Syrian airspace. It also suggests that Turkey is realizing that it has been following the wrong path when it comes to the Syrian conflict," Wight told RT.

Turkish journalist Mustafa Akyol echoes Wight in his article for the Hurriyet Daily News:

"Even the masters of Ankara, who are not very well-versed in seeing their own mistakes, have ultimately realized that they dug themselves into a pit with their emotional, ideological and ultimately arrogant foreign policy," the journalist pointed out, adding that Ankara has seemingly rediscovered "pragmatism" in its foreign policy.

  • Recep Tayyip Erdogan said citizens should not have "the slightest concern with regards to democracy, rule of law, fundamental rights and freedoms".
The state of emergency would protect those values from attacks against them, he said, in a speech in Ankara.

Mr Erdogan said foreign nations should stay out of Turkish affairs, adding: "This nation has the right to determine our own destiny."

Turkey's support of ISIS terrorists means that foreigners have a legitimate cause to criticize the political situation there.

Democracy, freedom and the rule of law have no value any longer, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said. He added that those who don’t support Ankara’ efforts to combat terrorists in the country are Turkey’s “enemies.”

  • Turkey is an important area in the Abrahamic religions, geographically the home of (or pathway to) the "King of the North". Turkey's religious roots trace back to the seven "churches" of Asia of the book of Revelation. These seven where not Christian groups in the modern sense due to their rejection of the Roman citizen Paul of Tarsus. Turkey is also the geographic gateway between the western and eastern branches of the Roman state religion, i.e. Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox.

Turkey then represents, geographically, the common ground of the nascent Judaic religion that seeded Christianity and later Islam, and of the source of the northern waters of the promised land of the Abrahamic covenant.

Erdogan's endorsement by the Muslim Brotherhood favours Sunni Islam, the extreme forms of which are the ideological base of the ISIS terrorists. This situation is clearly incompatible with Putin's security interests. However the key players here are the Turkish people, since without their support Erdogan would have had little means of confronting the Turkish heavy armour. Likewise there is little scope for international criticism if he honours his assurance regarding democracy, the rule of law, and fundamental rights and freedoms.

  • Erdogan owes his life to Moscow who prevented US led Coup

    Tuesday, 19 July 2016

The Turkish coup was originally planned for August, when the Greek Government was 'scheduled' to enter a crisis and be itself couped. This way, the entire Balkan would have entered a critical phase, with an end result of installing puppet Governments subservient to the US and a new iron curtain between US controlled Europe and Russia.

  • The former commander of NATO forces in Afghanistan, retired US Army General John F. Campbell, was the mastermind behind the failed military coup in Turkey, the Yeni Safak daily has reported, citing sources close to investigation.

General John F. Campbell, 59, was "one of the top figures who organized and managed the soldiers behind the failed coup attempt in Turkey," the conservative paper's English-language edition said on Monday.

The paper is known for its loyal support of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was the target of the coup attempt.

According to Yeni Safak, Campbell "also managed more than $2 billion in transactions via UBA Bank in Nigeria by using CIA links to distribute among the pro-coup military personnel in Turkey."

  • THOUSANDS of Turkish soldiers are being raped, starved and left without water, according to Amnesty International.

The human rights group said it has “credible evidence” that around 10,000 Turkish soldiers face the severe punishments for their part of the failed military coup against president Erdogan.

Victims are being held in makeshift cells, such as stables and sports halls, and are being tortured and held in stress positions for 48 hours, the group said.

  • Was Fethulah Gulen providing cover for the CIA in Turkey?

Gulen's endorsement by Graham Fuller is telling, since Fuller's role with the CIA involved the radicalization of Afghani Muslims in order to to draw the Soviet Union into a military quagmire in that country. Fuller's daughter Samantha was married to Ruslan Tsarnaev, the outspoken uncle of the Tsarnaev brothers who where framed for the Boston Bombing. Fuller was also a key figure in the Iran-Contra Affair.

Bill Clinton also endorsed Gulen. Clinton is connected to the CIA via the drug running operation that took place in Mena, Arkansas when he was governor. Clinton is implicated in interference in Afghan and Iranian affairs by his sponsorship from some of BCCI's top shareholders.

Latif Erdogan, ex-associate of Gulen, says that Gulen had links with the CIA and Mossad.

  • Financial ties between the Clinton Foundation and Fethulah Gulen.

In the April 1, 2009 message, a Gulen follower named Gokhan Ozkok asked Clinton deputy chief of staff Huma Abedin for help in connecting one of his allies to President Obama.

Ozkok is founding board member of the Turkish Cultural Center and part of a network of businesses and non-profits affiliated with the Gulen movement, also known as Hizmet.

Ozkok served as national finance co-chair of the pro-Clinton Ready PAC. He gave $10,000 to the committee in 2014 and $2,700 to Clinton’s campaign last year. He is also listed on the Turkish Cultural Center’s website as a member of the Clinton Global Initiative, one of the non-profit arms of the Clinton Foundation. He’s given between $25,000 and $50,000 to the Clinton charity.

    ...

Last year The Daily Caller reported that numerous Gulen followers have donated to Clinton’s various political campaigns and to her family charity. One Gulen movement leader, Recep Ozkan, donated between $500,000 and $1 million to the Clinton Foundation.

  • Some 7,000 armed police in heavy vehicles surrounded the Incirlik air base used by NATO forces in Adana in what a Turkish minister called a “security check.” With no official explanation, speculations have arisen about a new coup attempt or VIP visit.

    ...

In the wake of the coup attempt, several military officials at the Incirlik Air Base, including its commander, General Bekir Ercan Van, were arrested on treason charges by Turkish authorities, which claimed that one of the rogue F-16 planes taking part in the rebellion to overthrow Erdogan’s government had been refueled there.

The general had even reportedly attempted to seek asylum in the US, but his plea was apparently rejected.

Incirlic Air Base is used by both the Turkish and US militaries and is vital to the US-led anti-terror bombing campaign in Syria and Iraq. It also serves as one of six NATO storage sites for US tactical nuclear weapons in Europe. The exact number of nuclear bombs kept at the base is unknown, although, according to various estimates, it may store up to 90 warheads.

The US-led coalition’s airstrikes had to be halted for several days when power was cut at the base. US military personnel stationed there had to switch to an internal power supply.

  • Erdogan wants to smash Gladio

    (Tranlsation from Google Translate)

Erdogan accused the West of involvement in the coup

After Turkish media reports, the NATO Gladio is to be the structural author of the attempted coup of 15 July. Erdogan and the Turkish government are determined to completely smash this parallel structure.

After several Turkish media reports, there will be in Turkey continues to be active Gladio structure of NATO, which is primarily used by the British and Americans to influence political events in Turkey. The movement of the preacher Fethullah Gülen is to be only one arm of this structure. The Turkish journalist Özcan Tikit reported that not only the Turkish government should stiffen the Gülen movement as author of the attempted coup of 15 July. The coup attempt only accrues an international sense if one takes a closer look at the Gladio structure in Turkey. "If once a relationship of trust with the Western Institute ions to be created, Gladio in Turkey must - as has been done in several Western countries - are out of the way," said Tikit in a post by Habertürk.
