JUAN GONZÁLEZ: David, I wanted to ask you about this issue which we discussed previously with Wayne Barrett, as well, on the issue of Donald Trump’s relationship to the mob and his connections over the years to mobsters. And you’ve also looked into that, as well.
DAVID CAY JOHNSTON: Yes, and it’s not just the traditional Mafia families in New York. First of all, Donald Trump’s father had a business partner who was a mob guy. I’m sure Wayne talked about that. But Donald has done business with people with the Russian mob. He’s done business with con artists. The guy who supplied his helicopters and managed his personal helicopter, called the Ivana, from his first wife back then, was a major cocaine trafficker, who actually handled the drugs. And after he went to prison, Donald wrote a letter pleading for mercy for him, so he got 18 months as the head of the ring. The little fish who delivered the drugs, they got 20 years. Donald continued to do business with him after he was indicted. Donald has done business all his life with mobsters and criminals, because it’s a way to make money.

"The only [candidate] that's going to give real support to Israel is me," said Donald Drumpf. "The rest of them are all talk, no action. They're politicians. I've been loyal to Israel from the day I was born. My father, Fred Trump, was loyal to Israel before me."
Donald's father Fred moved in the circle of a corrupt powerful New York political fixer and power broker attorney, Abraham (Bunny) Lindenbaum. Or Bunny moved in Fred C. Drumpf's circles. They were more than just client and attorney. The two were joined at the hip. Bunny's first retainer came from Fred C.
Fred and Bunny were political insiders of [Masonic] Tammany Hall through Brooklyn's Madison Club. Tammany Hall, also known as the Society of St. Tammany, the Sons of St. Tammany, or the Columbian Order, was a New York City Democratic political machine entangled and mired in racketeering, corruption, graft and patronage.
And last August, Trump zeroed in on Weiner’s connection to Clinton’s email controversy, tweeting, “It came out that Huma Abedin knows all about Hillary’s private illegal emails. Huma’s PR husband, Anthony Weiner, will tell the world.” Weeks later, he added, “Huma Abedin, the top aide to Hillary Clinton and the wife of perv sleazebag Anthony Wiener, was a major security risk as a collector of info.”
Trump’s official foreign policy team includes a minimum of two neocons, with Joseph E. Schmitz the clear winner of the award for the worst foreign policy adviser in Trump’s selection. Schmitz, a lawyer by trade, is the former Inspector General of the Department of Defense in addition to being a former executive at none other than Blackwater Worldwide. Blackwater, which rebranded itself as Academi in 2011 due to its atrocious reputation (similar to what Jabhat Al-Nusra just done), is the notorious military contractor that has been involved in various controversies.

Former Congressman and Libertarian icon Ron Paul issued a warning to President-elect Donald Trump Friday, saying that neocons and shadow government figures are going to attempt to infiltrate and influence his presidency and prevent him from achieving successful change.
Vice President-elect Mike Pence ordered the removal of all lobbyists from president-elect Donald Trump’s transition team, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The decision on Tuesday was one of Pence’s first since formally taking over the team. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was abruptly dismissed from the role last week.
Critics have excoriated Trump for including lobbyists, Washington insiders, and Republican Party veterans among his team, suggesting it contradicts the anti-establishment message that defined his campaign.

On Friday, Trump announced that Kansas Congressman Mike Pompeo was his pick to run the Central Intelligence Agency. Pompeo, who supports NSA surveillance, has previously called for the execution of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.
Donald Trump scolded media big shots during an off-the-record Trump Tower sitdown on Monday, sources told The Post.
“It was like a f–ing firing squad,” one source said of the encounter.
“Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said ‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed,’ ” the source said.
“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added.
A second source confirmed the fireworks.
“The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks,” the other source said.
“Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong.’ He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was [a] network of liars,” the source said.
The media spin on President Elect Donald J. Trump’s sit down with the New York Times on November 22, can only be described as dishonest.

Tom Bossert, Trump's pick for Homeland Security Adviser, is a member of the same organization as Dmitri Alperovitch, the guy that first said that the Russians hacked the DNC
Tom Bossert is a Zurich cyber risk fellow with the Council's Cyber Statecraft Initiative.
Dmitri Alperovitch is a nonresident senior fellow with the Cyber Statecraft Initiative
Dmitri is the cofounder of crowdstrike.
Dmitri Alperovitch, the company’s chief technology officer, said one hacking group primarily monitored e-mail and chat conversations and may be working for Russia’s Federal Security Service, which was once headed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He said the second group was probably working on behalf of Russia’s military.
Trump Inauguration Speech Hints at Official Disclosure of Secret Space Programs
We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow.
Trump’s use of the phrase “unlock the mysteries of space” may be just a rhetorical flourish to show his determination to rejuvenate the NASA space program and to assist the growing commercial space industry. Alternatively, it is a hint that he is aware that there is much more happening in space than the public have been informed about.
His use of the word “unlock” suggests that these mysteries are kept hidden in highly classified programs, and he now holds the keys to them. In that sense, he is sending the message that as the President and Commander in Chief, he holds all the keys and intends to use them to further his vision of the future. Once again, he was signaling his intent of confronting the “small group” hidden in Washington that benefit from keeping secrets from the public.
A historic thing happened at Friday’s White House press conference. And it was so brief it could have easily been missed.
There was a short exchange between White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer and a reporter, who asked if the White House acknowledged the existence of a “deep state” – the entrenched government bureaucracy and those in intelligence agencies who continue in their posts, formulating policy regardless of which party is in power.
Spicer did not deny the existence of such a deep state, but replied to the question that it should come as “no surprise” that elements loyal to the previous president’s polices had “burrowed” into the government and were actively seeking to undermine Donald Trump’s reform efforts.
In February 2017, the phrase "deep state" began to be widely used by the corporate media, albeit with only a rough approximation of its original meaning.
National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster responds to the Washington Post report that President Trump revealed classified information to Russians.
LT. GEN. H.R. McMASTER, NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER: I have a brief statement for the record. There is nothing that the president takes more seriously than the security of the American people. The story that came out tonight as reported is false. The president and the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries, including threats to civil aviation.
At no time, at no time, where intelligent sources or methods discussed. And the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known. Two other senior officials who were present, including the Secretary of the State, remember the meeting the same way and have said so. Their on the record accounts should outweigh anonymous sources. I was in the room. It didn't happen.
Everyone Actually AT the Russia Meeting Confirms WaPo Story is FALSE
More than half of the memos former FBI chief James Comey wrote as personal recollections of his conversations with President Trump about the Russia investigation have been determined to contain classified information, according to interviews with officials familiar with the documents.
This revelation raises the possibility that Comey broke his own agency’s rules and ignored the same security protocol that he publicly criticized Hillary Clinton for in the waning days of the 2016 presidential election.
Comey testified last month he considered the memos to be personal documents and that he shared at least one of them with a Columbia University lawyer friend. He asked that lawyer to leak information from one memo to the news media in hopes of increasing pressure to get a special prosecutor named in the Russia case after Comey was fired as FBI director.
