Rather than actually reporting a real investigation of PizzaGate, Snopes simply follows the position of the New York Times in denying PizzaGate. The New York Times article contains errors of fact which appear to have been written with intent to mislead the reader, i.e. the New York Times article is fake news.
From the New York Times.
When Mr. Alefantis discovered that his employees were getting similar abusive messages, he looked online to unravel the accusations. He found dozens of made-up articles about Mrs. Clinton kidnapping, molesting and trafficking children in the restaurant’s back rooms. The articles appeared on Facebook and on websites such as The New Nationalist and The Vigilant Citizen, with one headline blaring: “Pizzagate: How 4Chan Uncovered the Sick World of Washington’s Occult Elite.”
Mr Alefantis could not have found such articles at the The New Nationalist or Vigilant Citizen because neither source alleged that Mrs. Clinton kidnapped, molested and trafficked children in the restaurant’s back rooms. Either Mr Alefantis is lying to the New York Times and they are accepting his story uncritically or the New York Times story is a fabrication.
The Vigilant Citizen did publish an article entitled "How 4Chan Uncovered the Sick World of Washington’s Occult Elite", and the article did mention Comet Ping Pong, but that is where the similarlity to the account in the New York Times ends.
The Vigilant Citizen article describes the similarity of a logo on Comet Ping Pong's menu to a known paedophilia symbol, gives a little background on James Alefantis, and shows his involvement with a Clinton fundraiser. The article does not assert that Alefantis ever met Clinton, or that he sells or abuses children.
The New York Times continues:
None of it was true. While [Comet Ping Pong pizzeria owner James] Alefantis has some prominent Democratic friends in Washington and was a supporter of Mrs. Clinton, he has never met her, does not sell or abuse children, and is not being investigated by law enforcement for any of these claims.
The New York Times article is a case of journalistic hypocrisy which avoids all mention of the essential points being made by the Vigilant Citizen. When the New York Times asserts that "Fake News Onslaught Targets Pizzeria as Nest of Child-Trafficking", they are describing their own reporting, no that of the sources that they criticize in their article.
Fake news website New York Times warns people about fake news
OK, so now we have a total BS article written by Cecilia Kang via The New York Times. She is reporting how #PizzaGate is made up and lies.
This is yet ANOTHER example of these manipulators crapping on us again. We now have uncovered a TON of good evidence to initiate a world-wide investigation. This is a massive cover-up on a global scale. Many elites are scared right now. I have said before, f**k them. They need to be in jail if they have committed crimes.
We have Twitter, Reddit and others censoring anything PizzaGate related in the last couple of days. They are clearly trying to cover this up and the elites are hoping this will go away. It will not.
More than 400 American journalists … in the past twenty‑five years have secretly carried out assignments for the Central Intelligence Agency… There was cooperation, accommodation and overlap. Journalists provided a full range of clandestine services… Reporters shared their notebooks with the CIA. Editors shared their staffs. Some of the journalists were Pulitzer Prize winners, distinguished reporters… In many instances, CIA documents show, journalists were engaged to perform tasks for the CIA with the consent of the managements of America’s leading news organizations.
Bernstein is referring to Operation Mockingbird, a CIA campaign started in the 1950s to plant intelligence reports among reporters at more than 25 major newspapers and wire agencies, who would then regurgitate them for a public oblivious to the fact that they were being fed government propaganda.
In some instances, as Bernstein shows, members of the media also served as extensions of the surveillance state, with reporters actually carrying out assignments for the CIA.
Executives with CBS, the New York Times and Time magazine also worked closely with the CIA to vet the news. Bernstein writes: “Other organizations which cooperated with the CIA include the American Broadcasting Company, the National Broadcasting Company, the Associated Press, United Press International, Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps‑Howard, Newsweek magazine, the Mutual Broadcasting System, the Miami Herald and the old Saturday Evening Post and New York Herald‑Tribune.”

Dutroux Affair Media Coverup
To give you an idea of how much of a cover-up was involved, Langlios met with the producers of 'Au Nom de la Loi', an influential French-language TV program. Following these meetings, 'Au Nom de la Loi' broadcasted four extremely manipulative prime-time TV programs from 1997 to 2000 in which they tried to convince the public that Nihoul was an innocent victim in the whole Dutroux affair.
The entire Western print and TV media is so heavily implicated in the worst war crimes in human history that, if justice ever happens, the presstitutes will stand in the dock with the Clintons, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, Obama and their neocon operatives or handlers as the case may be.
Wikipedia says that pizzagate has been debunked.
For the facts on PizzaGate: https://infogalactic.com/info/pizzagate
The much maligned co-founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, has once again stumbled into saying something that simply doesn't appear to be true, if judged against the evidence that the rest of the world sees on the Internet.
In each of his rants against Julian Assange's WikiLeaks.org site, Wales makes it painfully clear that he doesn't like how free-wheeling WikiLeaks is treating classified information, and that Jimmy Wales and Wikipedia have nothing to do with WikiLeaks:
Guess which company is marked as the registrant organization of all of the following domain names?
That's right -- Wikia! Thanks to Wikia, Inc.'s chief operating officer, Michael Davis, all five of those WikiLeaks domains are registered to Wikia, Inc., which is ultimately presided over by its co-founder Jimmy Wales -- the guy who says he has "absolutely nothing to do with WikiLeaks". Also, Michael Davis used to sit on the board of trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation, alongside Jimbo Wales.
